Reporting Memo

So far in the process of making this story I have talked to Marcus Mclin about the B.S.M.E group. I would consider this to be my main source in this story. I would say I’m behind in my story. I want to start going more into my story and get a lot more interviews soon.

I’m confident I can find some really good interviews, but as of right now I have only completed one of them. I found some interesting things in this interview which I think have set a good base for my story that I will build on. Finding out just more about the group and what the goal is . I found out that the rally was the first of anything like this to happen at UMD. I think reporting on this is important to progress in Duluth.

Being a part of talking about this topic is really cool to me because it is a hope for change in our community. I want to talk to some students involved in the change on campus and find out what they are feeling during this time. I also want to talk to some bystanders and see their take on the situation. I think this story is very relevant to things happening at this time in the world. With elections coming soon heavy topics like this have weighed on people’s minds.
